Game and Match Management
Date: Monday 14th July
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Venue: Deakin University
The workshop is being presented by A Badge Accredited local umpire Lauren Hockley.
Lauren will discuss the rules that are in place for game management and foul play, the procedures to be followed by an umpire and the responsibility of coaches and players to create a positive netball culture and environment for all participants.
The workshop is open to all umpires, coaches and players. It is expected that at least one umpire and one senior coach from each Club attends.
Accredited umpires will earn 5 CPD points towards their re-accreditation.

Introduction to Umpiring
Date: Friday, 18th July
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Venue: Allansford Netball Courts
This workshop is being presented by B Badge Accredited local umpire and mentor Josie Logan.
Josie will cover topics such as expectations and characteristics of a beginner umpire, using your whistle and hand signals effectively, infringements and sanctions, and positioning on the court.
The workshop is for beginner umpires (both young and old) who are assumed to have little knowledge of umpiring but some basic knowledge of the rules. It would also be ideal for young junior players to give them awareness of the rules and what an umpire’s role is in the game.
