Round 12 WDFNL Beyond Bank Volunteers

Congratulations this week to two more exceptional club volunteers. It’s wonderful to highlight the amazing people who work tirelessly behind the scenes sometimes for many, many years!

Our Round 12 WDFNL Beyond Bank Volunteers are Katrina Hoye from Russells Creek Football Netball Club and Joe Clover from the Timboon Demons Football Netball Club.

This year Katrina is the Junior Football Coordinator and both U18 and seniors team manager. Although having been a volunteer for the past 6 years, her club recognise the significant contribution she is making
this year despite her two boys no longer playing at Creek. Saturdays see her supporting the club, watching her boys play elsewhere then returning to make sure all the jobs are completed. An inspirational  volunteer, thanks and well done Katrina.

Around the Demons when they think of a volunteer that embodies what it means to be part of the club and the WDFNL, Joe Clover is the name that comes to mind. Joe has been a player, volunteer, president, trainer: in fact, he’s held almost every job possible over his 40 plus years around the place. These days
you’ll find him on the gate at home games and offering to help with any job that needs doing. Another inspiration! Well done Joe.

Both Katrina and Joe and all of our weekly volunteers are nominated by their clubs and go into the running to receive the 2023 WDFNL Beyond Bank Volunteer of the Year.

In the Record you’ll also find the second of our WDFNL Board Profiles. This week its our Vice President Georgia Harrison.
