Just one round left in a Warrnambool and District league season that’s lived up to all the hype so far.
In the A-grade netball, there are still three clubs that can mathematically finish fifth.
Just one win and less than two per cent separates fifth-placed Old Collegians and sixth-placed Timboon Demons.
Fittingly, the two clubs are going head-to-head in round 18, with a finals spot on the line.
Seventh-placed Kolora-Noorat would almost need a miracle to finish fifth.
The Power would need to beat fourth-placed Dennington and hope the Demons downed the Warriors.
They would then need to overtake both the Demons’ and Warriors’ percentage.
At the moment, they are about six per cent behind the Demons and eight per cent behind the Warriors.
In the senior football, the top five looks to be set.
If Timboon Demons (sixth) defeat Old Collegians (fifth), they will move to equal points as the Warriors but will likely remain sixth due to their inferior percentage.
The Demons have a percentage of 57.75, while the Warriors’ percentage is significantly higher at 97.42 per cent.
